Damas Canibais

Checkers. Two players, one phone. Or you against the machine.

An offline mobile checkers game. Two people play on the same device, or one person plays the machine. No account, no room, no internet and no server: the whole match stays on the phone. Pieces are characters with a mouth, a tooth and an eye, and a capture is a bite, not a dry jump. Eighteen colors and a local engine that only plays legal moves.

01

One phone

Two people share the device. The far score strip flips so the other player can read it from their side of the table.

02

A fair machine

The opponent only picks a move the local engine already called legal. Strength climbs from 1 to 7 after each game it wins. Turning the network off changes nothing.

03

Pieces that bite

A capture walks to the victim, plays a devour animation, then lands. Kings have their own crowned bite. Copper crowns sit on the white side, silver on the black side.

A match

From the menu to the king

Pick a mode, paint the pieces, then play checkers on a clean board. Captures bite. Kings wear copper or silver.

Opening

Opening

Logo, language, two players or versus the machine, and the game volume.

Piece colors

Piece colors

Eighteen colors. Each player picks their own. Against the machine, the other color is chosen to contrast.

Opening position

Opening position

Ivory at the bottom, black on top, twelve pieces a side. Score strips and New game, Pause, Menu.

The bite

The bite

A capture mid-animation. The piece walks up, devours, and the victim keeps its own color.

Kings on the board

Kings on the board

Copper crowns on ivory, silver crowns on black. A king is its own drawing, not a disc with a ring.

A chosen king

A chosen king

Green dots mark every square that king can land on, including a long flying capture.

The match never leaves the phone

There is no account and no server. The app applies the checkers rules itself: a man moves forward, captures forward and back, and must take when it can. If several captures exist, only the longest one is legal. A king flies any number of free squares and captures at a distance. The same position three times is a draw, and so are twenty king-only moves with no capture. The machine looks a few moves ahead and can only choose a line the engine already accepts.

  • Two players on one phone, or versus a local machine
  • Checkers: forced captures, the longest capture, and flying kings
  • Eighteen piece colors, copper crowns for white and silver crowns for black
  • A capture walks up, bites, then lands. The board wood shifts so it never clashes with the pieces
  • Portuguese, English and Spanish, with a session win tally on the board
